The city of Concord is located 22 miles northeast of Oakland and 29 miles northeast of San Francisco.  Concord offers an urban-suburban mix vibe and most people own their homes. Schools & Education

The Mount Diablo Unified School District provides 21st-century quality education to more than 30,000 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade and beyond. The City of Concord's Parks and Recreation Department offers a fully certified preschool program. The Concord Public Library is part of the Contra Costa County Library system and is located next to the Concord Civic Center at 2900 Salvio Street. The Friends of the Concord Library is an organization dedicated to improving library services in Concord.
